GI-180 provides improved electrical performance and a 200C glass transition temperature (Tg). GI-180 laminate and prepreg products are manufactured with a blend of bismaleimide triazine (BT) and high performance epoxy, reinforced with electrical grade (E-glass) glass fabric. This combination provides a lower dielectric constant and dissipation factor, and excellent thermal performance while retaining ease of processability. In addition to this superior electrical and thermal performance, the mechanical, chemical and moisture resistance properties all equal or exceed the performance of traditional FR-4 material. The system is also laser fluorescing and UV blocking for compatibility with automated optical inspectionsystems (AOI), optical positioning systems and photoimagable soldermask imaging.
